All hacking and submissions must occur within the official hackathon period.

Eligibility

The hackathon is open to:

• University and college students
• High school students interested in technology
• Developers, designers, and innovators worldwide

Participants may join individually or in teams of up to 4 members.

Participants must register on Devpost to submit a project.

Employees or organizers of the event may participate but are not eligible for prizes.

Project and Submission Requirements

Projects must be built during the hackathon period.

Participants must submit their project on Devpost before the submission deadline.

Each submission must include:

• Project title
• Description of the problem and solution
• GitHub repository or source code
• Screenshots or demo of the project
• A 2–3 minute demo video explaining the project

Optional but recommended:

• Architecture diagram
• Presentation slides
• Technical documentation

Projects should align with innovation, technology, or solutions addressing real-world challenges, particularly those connected to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to teams demonstrating exceptional innovation, impact, and technical excellence.

Example prize categories may include:

🏆 Best Overall Hack
Awarded to the team with the most innovative and impactful project.

🤖 Best AI / Machine Learning Solution
Awarded to the best use of artificial intelligence technologies.

🌍 Best Social Impact Project
Awarded to the project that best addresses a United Nations Sustainable Development Goal.

💡 Best Beginner Hack
Awarded to the most impressive project created by first-time hackathon participants.

Final prize details will be announced during the hackathon.

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

Projects will be evaluated by a panel of judges from industry, academia, and the technology community.

Submissions will be judged based on the following criteria:

Innovation (25%)

How original and creative is the idea?

Technical Implementation (25%)

Quality of code, architecture, and technical complexity.

Impact (25%)

Potential real-world impact, especially in relation to global challenges or UN SDGs.

Usability & Design (15%)

User experience, accessibility, and design quality.

Presentation (10%)

Clarity and effectiveness of the demo and explanation.

Judges will review all eligible submissions and select the winners based on the scoring criteria above.
